We would just like to thank you so much for the beautiful quilt our son, Duncan, received from your organisation during his recent stay in Aberdeen High Dependency Unit.
Duncan was rushed from Elgin to Aberdeen on 26th November 2009, suffering from double pneumonia and spent initially 17 days in hospital after having 2 drains inserted and removed from his lungs. We spent 36 hours at home and had to be rushed back as the infection and fluid returned and he had a further 4 drains inserted and removed. We got home yesterday. All through his ordeal "blankie" never left his side. We had to wash and tumble dry it while he was in theatre the second time so that he wasn't without it. He loves his blankie and it now has pride of place on his bed.
We can't thank you enough for this wonderful gift and the love and attention the workers put into them. It gave a frightened 5 year old little boy the strength to face all the pain and procedures and will be a treasured possession for years to come.
