Becoming a Coordinator
Each of our coordinators covers an area - usually one county or just part of a county. Their role is to make contacts with local sewing or knitting groups to make the quilts and blankets and with local hospitals, refuges etc. who would benefit from them. Some coordinators give talks to raise awareness of our work and take on fund raising activities to pay for materials for our volunteer makers to use. Since we are all volunteers, people only take on what they are going to be comfortable with and different areas do things in different ways.
If their is a gap in your area, then perhaps you would be willing to consider taking on the coordinator role yourself. If so, please contact the President on projectlinusuk@Hotmail.co.uk to ask for further information. We have a handbook with suggestions for how to go about the role. This is based on things that have worked for others.
