Little Dorothy was admitted to hospital in Yeovil in November 2015  before being transferred to Southampton hospital for an operation on her neck. All was looking good, but unfortunately she needed further treatment and was readmitted.

In December she was back in Southampton hospital and on the 23rd December had further surgery. Dorothy would need to spend Christmas in hospital. Her Dad drove home to collect her brother and sister, and the whole family prepared for a hospital Christmas.

The family were completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the hospital staff during their stay, and were delighted when Dorothy was given a special Christmas quilt.

“On receiving Dorothy’s amazing blanket, we felt totally overwhelmed. It’s so beautiful and even though it’s a Christmas design, we still use it daily in her pushchair!”
