Project Linus UK is a volunteer-led Community Interest Company (CIC No 08422226) providing handmade quilts and blankets to babies, children and teenagers up to 19yrs old who are IN NEED OF A HUG.
Our dedicated Area Co-ordinators support children by working with hospitals, children’s hospices, women’s refuges, foster carers, special schools, bereavement services and many other places. They are also involved with craft and quilting groups (e.g. WI and U3A) and local volunteers.
Every quilt and blanket is made and donated locally. Each one is gifted to a child to keep – a small piece of comfort, warmth and security given during a difficult time.
How to get involved
There are many ways to support Project Linus UK. Our Area Co-ordinators welcome volunteers who can make quilts and blankets or assist with fundraising.
Donations of suitable patchwork fabric, threads and wadding are always appreciated and local groups often enjoy making quilts together as part of community craft sessions.
If you would like to help, please contact your Area Co-ordinator. Details can be found on the Project Linus UK website.
